Family activities in Tenerife

Tenerife is a great destination for families with children. When they are tired of the beach why not try out some of the other attractions the island has to offer? There are activities for children of all ages to enjoy from toddlers to teens. Many are based in the south of the island and can be reached by car or by the free bus services from the major resorts. There are also a wide range of boat trips from Los Cristianos port.

Water Parks

AquaLand (Costa Adeje)


A wonderful day out for the family with great water slides, pools with artificial waves, a Dolphin Museum and much more. Very much suitable for the younger children. The highlight is the wonderful daily Dolphin show – one of the world’s best. There’s a free shuttle service from Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas. .

Siam Park


One of the most exciting water parks in Europe. The park has a range of high adrenaline water rides and slides. Lots to do for non-swimmers too.

Animal Parks

Jungle Park - Las Aguillas


A jungle style park with more than 300 animals and 100 species. There are a number of exotic bird shows each day. The park also has a grass toboggan run and some exciting rope bridges.

Loro Parque (Puerto de la Cruz)


Animal paradise for the whole family; biggest dolphin pool in Europe; the latest attraction is Katandra Treetops – jungle pathways where you can see birds in their natural habitat.

Boat Trips

Whale and dolphin watching – wide choice of boats from Los Cristianos port including the Jolly roger a real pirate sailing ship.

Submarine Safari – a chance to watch sea life being fed at the bottom of the ocean.

  • Full size golf courses available at Amarillo Golf, Las Americas Golf and Golf Del Sur.
